THE LOS CABOS 6-STAR SURF OPEN KICKS OFF

This past Monday, June 17th, the State Minister of Tourism, Ruben Reachi, along with the Mayor of Los Cabos, Antonio Agundez, the Director of Municipal Tourism, Alicia Cota, Eduardo Segura (Director of FITURCA), Renato Mendonca (President of the Hotel Association of Los Cabos), and Jorge Tellez (Asudestico President), among others waved the “checkered flag” and kicked off the first 6-Star ASP event held in Mexico—the Los Cabos Surf Open.

The event will go until June 23rd and is being held at Zippers beach along Costa Azul in San Jose del Cabo. The event will feature the participation of 144 surfers from around the world, competing for a $155,000 dollar purse that is to be distributed amongst the finalists. The weather forecast calls for waves between 3 – 8 feet and clear skies.

There will be many activities at the contest, including: concerts, VIP parties with international DJ’s, gastronomy, art and much more.
