Ulises Rodriguez, Rafael Aguilar And Ramon Garcia:
The First Place Winners Of The Bejuco Pro 2013

In a competition not suitable for beginners, the “Pros” of bodyboarding from the states of Sinaloa, Nayarit, Colima, Oaxaca, Guerrero and Michoacan gathered to compete at Bejuco de Ocampo, Michoacan near Playa Azul (a secret spot only just recently revealed to outside surfers).
The Michoacan State Bodyboarding Association was in charge of organizing this “extreme” event, the Mexican Bodyboarding Tournament, where $30,000 pesos were divided between three categories—Open, 18 & Under and Drop Knee.
Top-level competitors, the “cream” of the participating states’ “crops”, so to speak, threw themselves into waves of more than six feet high, with heavy peaks for both sides and a solid wall that allowed these “kamikazes” to jump into the air for an instant, gripping their boards tightly to their bodies.
