Colima national congress of surfing 2013

The National Congress of Surfing, which will be held in the State of Colima, aims to expand knowledge about one of the most difficult yet fun ocean sports, based on the requirements necessary to be the best surfer.

Colima, as a candidate city, offers endless activities having to do with the most beautiful scenery. Activities that are as cultural as they are recreational.

We invite you to participate May 30th – June 1st, 2013, where you’ll find many surprises.

Speakers Call Common???

The purpose of the Conference is to review the current trends in surfing and promote the professional cooperation among all those involved in the field of surfing, including experts in wetsuits and surfboards, teachers and experts of the ocean/seas.

Subjects may include:
Significant contributions in the preservation of the world’s waves:

•    The way in which said contributions could relate to the National Congress of Surfing’s program.
The participation will promote the exchange of professional communities all around the world.
One of the key points of the conference will be a session dedicated to projects and proposals and their interaction with potential funding sources represented at the Conference. Therefore, it is recommended that participants from developing countries bring project proposals with them that in both electronic and printed format.
•    Another key aspect will be to develop strategies to attract media attention, in as many States as possible, about the importance of themes covered in the National Congress of Surfing’s Program, as well as the need to learn more about the sport.
Additionally, it is recommended that the participants that will be making presentations include:
o    Significant results of preservation and access projects
o    New concepts in research, techniques and perspectives
o    Topics that address traditional sub-disciplinary boundaries
o    Financing and marketing strategies

Send your submissions in electronic format preferably, taking the following into account:
o    A summary (1,000 words maximum) – to be submitted no later than March 15, 2013
o    A full report (four A4 pages maximum) – to be submitted no later than March 30, 2013
