Planeta Surf: What is your current job?
I do a lot of things, I host surfing events for an extreme sports channel, I contribute by writing articles and interviews pertaining to Mexican surfing for a Latin American surfing portal and as my personal vocation, I keep my work in surfing current through social media. Although I don’t practice surfing, I literally live it, as my family owns a surf shop that I also dedicate part of my daily time to.
PS: How do you take care of your health and body?
I take care through training and diet. I follow a routine designed and advised by a personal trainer, involving circuit training, and aerobic and anaerobic exercise. We use dynamic tension, strength, weightlifting and cardio. Every weekday I do different exercises to work every muscle.
All of this plus a diet very low in carbohydrates and high in protein like a lot of fish, vegetables and a lot of supplements and vitamins.
Although I spend a lot of time at the beach, I really take care of my sun-exposure and use plenty of sunscreen to avoid premature damage to the skin and I always cover my face with a hat or cap.
PS: What other advice can you offer to look great at the beach?
Smile! Smiling at the beach would make anyone feel good and makes the most out of all your hard work. But it’s also important to take care of yourself, not for vanity but for your own self-esteem. We only have one body that will sustain us and we must keep it in shape with exercise and proper diet. This goes far beyond simply having a physical appearance, nowadays it’s all about being healthy too.
Of course, it’s worth setting a goal and everyone has a right to be in shape to the level that they feel comfortable with. I can’t deny that I love walking through life in a bikini and I like to look good in it.
Also, it’s very important to drink plenty of water to avoid getting dehydrated by the sun and to take care of your face and skin by using sunscreen.
