Third Acapulco Surfing Contest & Clinic

On Sunday, February 23rd, 2014, the third Contest & Clinic will be held at Alfredo V. Bonfil beach at the Los Cuates de Alex Restaurant in Acapulco.

This time, the categories will include:
Men’s Shortboard (ages 29 – 39)
Men’s Shortboard (over 40)

Space is limited to a maximum of 16 competitors per category. To register, send a message to the event’s facebook page “Surfing Acapulco” and include the following information: full name, date of birth and beach or club you’re affiliated with.

People can also learn to participate as a judge, scorekeeper, beach judge or announcer.

 Joe Estrada is the mind behind these contest/clinics and they have seen much success. They started off with the shortboard category, then two weeks later came bodyboarding, and the next day the junior’s and women’s shortboard. 

Each category has its own ranking in each event that keeps accumulating and the contests last between 2 – 3 hours.
